How State Health Insurance Works in Uzbekistan

Uzbekistan has adopted the Law "On State Social Insurance," which will come into effect at the beginning of next year. This was reported by the press service of the Ministry of Justice.

According to the new regulation, social insurance can be either mandatory or voluntary. Insurance cases include illness, pregnancy and childbirth, as well as loss of employment or income.

In such cases, payments will be made to the insured individuals or their family members. These payments include sickness benefits, maternity leave benefits, and unemployment benefits.

The amount of these benefits depends on the payment of insurance premiums, and their amounts and durations are determined by law.
