Andijan head coach Samvel Babayan shared his thoughts with the club's press service after the friendly match against Kaspiy (0:1) and the Super League draw. According to the coach, the team is consistently continuing pre-season preparations, and the match in Antalya "closed" an important point in the plan.
Babayan noted that the game with "Caspiy" served as a test, concluding the first stage of preparation, which was rich in physical recovery and workload. In this match, the main focus is on improving the functional state of the players, "returning" the form of the game, and increasing the tempo.
The coach also emphasized that at this stage, almost all players were given the opportunity, and match time was evenly distributed. According to him, in conditions of fatigue, it is very important for the team to see the individual qualities of each performer, assess the game potential, and determine the degree of adaptation to the proposed tactical model.
Speaking about the Super League draw, Babayan emphasized that who the opponent will be or when they will face is not a decisive factor. In his opinion, the draw itself is a clear sign that the door to the season is being knocked on. Therefore, this process is of great interest to fans.
The coach also touched upon the format of the 2026 championship: each team will play 15 home games, 15 away games - a total of 30 matches. At the same time, it was noted that the material and technical base of the clubs has significantly improved, and the possibilities for strengthening the squad have expanded. According to Babayan, as a result, each team has the opportunity to offer high-quality players and strengthen competition.
In the end, the coach concluded with confidence: the 2026 season will probably be one of the most exciting championships. The reason is that many clubs have set high goals, and the concept of "easy" matches is practically gone. For fans, this means intrigue in every round, a struggle in every game.
