Today, January 30, the next reporting-and-election congress of the Uzbekistan Football Association was held. The first part of the meeting traditionally began with the most interesting part — the vote on the leadership.
As a result, Bahodir Qurbanov again gained trust as UFA president. Also, Ravshan Ermatov and Odil Ahmedov were re-elected to the positions of vice-presidents of the association. In short, in our football it was not “the staff changed”, but “the trust was renewed” — that scenario.
The second part of the ceremony continued with the moment the fans were waiting for — awarding the best of 2025. Temur Kapadze, who took the Uzbekistan national team to the World Cup, was recognized as the best coach. And Eldor Shomurodov, who has become the “engine of the attack” and is among the leaders of the scorers list in the Turkish Super League, was recognized as the best footballer.

These results show one thing: even in 2025, in our football, both work, and results, and dedication did not remain without attention. Now the most important thing is that these recognitions turn not into paper, but into new achievements on the pitch.
