YouTube has begun a strict purge against AI slope

The fight against low-quality, meaningless, and repetitive videos created with the help of artificial intelligence on the YouTube platform has reached a new level. According to The Verge, the video hosting company has begun deleting major channels that distribute such "SI-slop" content.
According to a report provided by the editing service Kapwing, YouTube removed the 5.9 million-subscriber channel CuentosFacianantes from the platform. It was noted that the total views of the videos of this channel reached 1.2 billion. Meanwhile, the Imperio de Jesus channel, which has gathered over 5.8 million viewers, is no longer visible on YouTube.
It is noted that this "cleansing" process became even more active after YouTube CEO Neil Mohan expressed concern about the sharp increase in low-quality AI content. In an appeal to users, the platform promised to reduce the spread of AI slops, as well as strengthen anti-spam and clickbait systems.
According to experts, "SI-slop" often refers to the same script, artificial sound, random frames, and frequently repeated "sensational" videos. Such content increases rapidly, filling the recommendation feed, and as a result, it becomes difficult for real hard-worked videos to get views.
Therefore, while YouTube's harsh measures strengthen the hope that "the feed will be cleaned" for ordinary viewers, for content creators there is only one clear signal: artificial intelligence can be used, but content, quality, and honest format come first. Now the main trend on the platform is one - whoever cannot maintain quality, neither the algorithm nor the rules will forgive.
