On December 29, Uzbekistan is expected to see relatively warm and changeable weather that is unusual for the winter season. According to Uzhydromet, temperatures in most regions will be above normal, with a chance of rain and strong winds in some areas.
In Tashkent, daytime temperatures will rise to +15…+17°, resembling real autumn. At night, it is forecast to be around +6…+8°. Forecasters do not rule out rain during the night hours.
Tashkent Region, as well as Bukhara and Navoi, will also be warm: +13…+18° during the day and about +3…+8° at night. Brief rain is possible in some districts. Similar temperatures will persist in Samarkand Region, and precipitation is likely due to increased humidity.
In Jizzakh and Syrdarya regions, the main feature will be strong winds. Daytime temperatures will be +13…+18° and nighttime +3…+8°, while wind speeds may reach 20–22 m/s at times. This could cause difficulties, especially in open areas.
The warmest weather will be recorded in the south — Kashkadarya and Surkhandarya regions. Daytime temperatures will reach +15…+20°, and nights will remain around +6…+11°. In the south, winter may barely be felt.
In the northern regions, the picture is quite different. In Karakalpakstan and Khorezm, daytime temperatures will be +5…+10°, while at night they are expected to drop below 0 to as low as –5°. In the Fergana Valley — Andijan, Namangan and Fergana regions — daytime temperatures will be +6…+11°, with nighttime cold possible down to –2°.
In foothill and mountainous areas, it will be noticeably cooler: +3…+8° during the day and –3…+2° at night. Forecasters warn of possible fog, as well as heavy precipitation in the form of rain and snow.
Overall, on December 29 the weather across Uzbekistan will be varied: spring-like warmth in the south and a cool winter feel in the north. When planning trips or the day, it is recommended to consider precipitation and wind.
