The delegation of the Uzatom agency visited the Ansaldo Energia plant located in Genoa, Italy. This plant is considered one of the leading turbine equipment manufacturers in the world.
During the visit, the delegation was introduced to the technological process of producing turbogenerators. The Italian side took the delegation into the plant workshops and showed them the processes of manufacturing turbine rotors and blades.
The plant is capable of producing everything from small and compact equipment to large installations with capacities of over a thousand megawatts. According to the agency, Ansaldo Energia offers a wide range of turbines and their components.
At the end of the visit, it was noted that this meeting would provide a basis for future discussions on technical cooperation and evaluation of parameters for the project of building a nuclear power plant in Uzbekistan.
