In neighboring Kyrgyzstan, road accidents were once again strongly discussed. President Sadyr Japarov revealed very heavy figures for road accidents over the past 10 years: during this period, 9,120 people died, and another 13,260 received various injuries. Most painfully, he noted that a significant portion of those injured subsequently reach disability, which places an additional burden on the state, such as benefits and social support.
The President stated this not as "dry statistics," but as a painful reality in life. According to him, his brother and his wife died at the scene of the accident. Their four children survived despite receiving injuries of varying degrees.
Japarov also recalled that his eldest son also died in a road accident in 2019. According to open sources, 27-year-old Dastan collided with a car while driving a motorcycle in Bishkek in August 2019 and died in the hospital after severe injuries.
"Although their four children sustained injuries of varying degrees, they survived. In 2019, my eldest son died in a road accident. "Thousands of people are facing such tragedies," said Sadyr Japarov.
There is one firm truth behind these words: the price of the "nothing will happen to me" attitude at the wheel is very high. This is also the President's call - to deeply study the rules of the traffic police, strengthen road culture, and bring control to a level that gives real results.
The conclusion for the future is simple, but firm: road safety is not just a matter of fines or cameras, it is the fate of thousands of families every day. If everyone starts with themselves - speed, distance, phone, dangerous maneuvers - these alone make tomorrow's statistics easier. There is no such myth as "the road forgives" - the road calculates.
