Residents of Kazan are planning to spend their New Year holidays in Uzbekistan, reports "Kommersant" based on data from "Aviasales." Ticket bookings to Uzbekistan accounted for 21 percent.
In this regard, Uzbekistan surpassed Thailand (19%), Turkey (7%), and China (4%). Overall, international travel accounted for 41 percent of New Year bookings among Kazan residents.
The average duration of New Year holidays abroad for residents of Kazan is approximately ten days. Meanwhile, 59 percent of the bookings are for domestic flights within Russia.
During the first ten months of 2025, 852,000 Russian citizens visited Uzbekistan, according to data from the National Statistics Committee.
