It should be noted that the fight took place in the spirit of "deja vu": Volkanovski and Lopez have clashed before. In the first match in April 2025, Alexander also prevailed by judges' decision. In this rematch, the picture remained almost unchanged: the scorers recorded twice 49:46 and once 50:45 - and the belt remained with the champion again.
The most important conclusion for fans is one: Volkanovski once again practically proved the saying "a big night is a big character." Lopez tried, put pressure on the episodes, but the champion's experience and ability to maintain the right tempo became the decisive factor.

- Benoît defeated Saint-Denis Dan Hooker by technical knockout in the 2nd round.
- Mauricio Ruffi recorded a technical knockout in the 2nd round over Rafael Fiziyev.
- Tallison defeated Teisheira Tai Tuivasa by unanimous decision (29:28 - three times).
- Quillan Salkill defeated Jamie Mullarky by a rear-naked chokehold in the first round.
In short, the UFC once again presented a "show + result" combo in Sydney: the champion reinforced his name, and the central card decorated the evening with knockouts and dramas.
