A video showing an unknown person taking away a charity donation box placed in front of a shop has spread on social media, causing اعتراض and discussion among many. Regarding this incident, the Tashkent City Main Department of Internal Affairs provided official information.
It is reported that on January 28 at approximately 18:00, an unknown person in the Yangihaot district, in the area of the Tashabbus mahalla, stole the donation box installed in front of one of the shops and fled the scene.
As a result of оператив measures carried out by law enforcement agencies, the citizen suspected of committing this груb act was identified and detained.
It is stated that a pre-investigation inquiry is being conducted by the Yangihaot district IIO FMB regarding the case. It was emphasized that a lawful decision will be ensured based on the results of the inquiry.
The money collected in a charity box can be medicine for someone, food for someone, and hope for someone. Therefore, even a theft that seems “small” delivers a harsh blow to trust in society. It is better that everyone be honest in their share — not to covet donations, but to let the culture of charity grow.
