New decisions have been made in the criminal case related to the murder of Lieutenant General Igor Kirillov. According to the Basmanny Court in Moscow, a decision has been made to arrest Uzbeks Saidakbar Gulomov and Mirjalol Odilov in absentia in this case.
The court also made a similar decision in relation to Ukrainian Andrey Gedzik. At the moment, these three people are on the international wanted list, and their whereabouts have not been determined.
According to the investigation materials, four more people are suspected in the case related to the death of General Kirillov. Among them is Uzbek Akhmad Kurbanov. According to Russian law enforcement agencies, it is he who is being cited as the person who carried out the terrorist act that took the general's life.
According to information, Kurbanov gave testimony during the investigation, saying that he was hired by Ukrainian special services for this crime. According to the defendant, he was promised $100,000 in exchange for plotting to assassinate a Russian military man and assistance in entering the European Union.
The investigation revealed that Akhmad Kurbanov lived in Kazan before the terrorist attack and also worked for some time in a Moscow teahouse.
It should be recalled that Lieutenant General Igor Kirillov died in late 2024 as a result of an improvised explosive device explosion. His assistant Ilya Polikarpov also died during this tragic incident.
In short, the fact that this criminal case has taken on an international dimension and that citizens of several countries are being named in it indicates that the investigation is becoming more complex and extensive. Now the main question is when and where the suspects will be detained.
