According to the Israeli army, an Israeli reserve soldier ran over a Palestinian man who was praying by the roadside in the West Bank. The incident occurred after the soldier had earlier fired shots in the area.
In a statement, the military said the individual had severely violated his authority. He was identified as a reserve soldier, immediately removed from service, and his weapon was confiscated. Israeli media reported that he is under house arrest.
The injured Palestinian man was taken for medical checks, but no serious injuries were found. He has since returned home. A video aired on Palestinian television shows an armed individual driving a vehicle into a man who was praying.
According to the United Nations, violence in the West Bank has sharply increased in recent years. Between October 2023 and October 2025, more than a thousand Palestinians and dozens of Israelis were killed.
