The list of the world’s most famous national cuisines has been released. An international gastronomic platform analyzed nearly 19,000 traditional dishes and selected the top 100 national cuisines of different countries.
The ranking was formed based on hundreds of thousands of ratings left by real users worldwide. According to the organizers, bots and artificial rating boosts were excluded from the calculations, and only genuine votes were taken into account.
According to the final results, Italy ranked first as the most delicious national cuisine in the world. It was followed by Greece and Peru. Portugal, Spain, Japan, Turkey, China, France, and Indonesia also made it into the top ten.
Among Central Asian countries, only Kazakhstan entered the ranking, taking 98th place. Despite the low overall position, some national dishes were warmly received and highly rated by users.
In particular, samsa — a traditional meat pastry widely popular across the region — received special recognition. It was described as “a classic and beloved regional dish with a fragrant aroma and crispy dough.” Thus, when global cuisines were evaluated, samsa did not go unnoticed.
