Sanitary inspections were carried out at 398 non-state preschool educational institutions located in Sirdarya region, during which a number of violations were revealed, Uz24.uz reported.
According to the inspection results, kitchens in 60 kindergartens were found to be in need of repair and interruptions in water supply were identified. In addition, it was found that necessary hand washing equipment was not fully installed, in some places bed sheets were worn out, and rooms and doors were in need of repair.
It was also noted that staff and children had not undergone medical examinations within the established period.
As a result, the activities of several kindergartens were temporarily suspended. Based on court decisions, 329 responsible persons were held administratively liable and a total of 333.48 million soums in fines were imposed.
According to Jura Bekhasanov, head of the Sirdarya Regional Sanitary-Epidemiological Wellbeing and Public Health Department, special working groups have been formed to eliminate the identified shortcomings.
Currently, relevant organizations are working to restore hygiene, infrastructure, and safety requirements in kindergartens.
