Louis Saha, one of the famous former strikers in French football, shared his thoughts on Kylian Mbappe's future. He stated that the current setbacks are temporary and that the French star will soon reach the top again.
Saha emphasized that Mbappe's main goals are clear — to win the Champions League and claim the Ballon d'Or. Noting that these two prestigious awards are interconnected, he said:
“He certainly wants to win the Champions League and the Ballon d'Or. These trophies are linked — if you win the Champions League, you get closer to the Ballon d'Or.”
The former player also addressed Mbappe's current situation. In his view, the striker may appear to be going through a phase of bad luck and sometimes seems to be under mental pressure. However, this situation is not permanent and will soon be resolved.
"Right now he looks a bit unlucky; he might even mentally seem like a 'black cat.' But this is a temporary state. He will change this soon," — Saha said.
Saha cited Cristiano Ronaldo as an example. He noted that if Ronaldo had not won major trophies in his time, criticism against him would have increased. Therefore, Mbappe has every opportunity, and over time, he will prove himself.
"If Ronaldo hadn't won trophies in his time, they would have criticized him too. Mbappe has every opportunity for this," — Saha said in an interview with Goal.
For reference, Mbappe moved to Real Madrid in 2024 and is currently playing for the team. His career at the new club is also under great focus.
