A serious crime has occurred in the Denov district of the Surxondaryo region. According to the Surxondaryo Regional Internal Affairs Department, a young man has died following an act of violence committed against a father and son.
The incident took place on April 27 in the Bogʻishamol neighborhood of Denov city, near a car wash. According to investigation data, 56-year-old father A.U. and his 32-year-old son A.A. were attacked by their relative—a 37-year-old nephew, Q.Sh.—with whom they had a pre-existing conflict over financial matters.
It was revealed that the suspect was not alone. Together with three accomplices—30-year-old T.Sh., 29-year-old X.Sh. and another 30-year-old T.Sh.—he beat the victims and inflicted severe bodily injuries. During the incident, they forced the son into a “Gentra” vehicle and drove him away in an unknown direction.
The victim, in critical condition, was hospitalized that same day. However, it has not been determined who brought him to the medical facility. Despite all the efforts of the doctors, he passed away on April 28—one day after the incident.
Initially, a criminal case was initiated under Article 104, Part 2 of the Criminal Code. Due to the aggravation of the circumstances, the case was later reclassified under Clause “d” of Part 3 of the same article. According to this article, if intentional grievous bodily harm results in the death of the victim, the perpetrators may be sentenced to 8 to 10 years of imprisonment.
Currently, all individuals suspected of the crime have been apprehended and placed in custody in accordance with procedural regulations. Investigative actions are ongoing.
This incident once again demonstrates the severe consequences that violence and personal disputes can lead to in society. It highlights the critical importance of resolving problems within the framework of the law rather than through force.
