A workshop producing counterfeit medicines under the guise of biologically active supplements was discovered in Namangan city. This was reported by the State Security Service's press service.
138 thousand boxes of products and approximately 30 billion soums worth of raw materials were confiscated from the workshop. According to the information, the company only had permission to produce biologically active supplements, but in fact produced counterfeit medicines of nine different types.
Among them, counterfeit versions of well-known brands were found: “Pivovit” instead of “Pikovit,” “Kanaseron” instead of “Kanefron,” “Espumetik” instead of “Espumizan,” and “Nestitam” instead of “Nystatin.” According to preliminary data, these counterfeit medicines were supplied to the Fergana Valley, Tashkent, and other regions.
Currently, an expert examination has been appointed and investigations are ongoing.
