Gianni Infantino Poses for Photo with PSG Goalkeeper Matvey Safonov

FIFA President Gianni Infantino posed for a photo with Russian goalkeeper Matvei Safonov following the European team PSG's victory in the UEFA Intercontinental Cup. Infantino quickly shared the photo on his social media platforms.

Safonov emerged as the key player in the final match against Flamengo for the trophy. Although he conceded a goal during a penalty in normal time, he saved four penalty shots in the post-match penalty shootout.

Safonov’s remarkable performance was highly praised by PSG's president Nasser Al-Khelaifi, head coach Luis Enrique, teammates, and journalists. The French publication *L'Equipe* rated his performance 9 out of 10.
