
The Kurchatov Institute and the Uzatom Agency will collaborate on training specialists in the field of nuclear energy. This initiative was announced by the head of the organization, Azim Ahmedkhajayev, during a youth scientists' congress held in Russia, Sputnik Uzbekistan reports.
"We are undertaking this effort to provide Uzbek specialists with access to unique equipment at the Kurchatov Institute," said Ahmedkhajayev. Earlier this fall, an agreement was signed between Uzatom and Rosatom to train specialists for the future nuclear power station currently under construction in Jizzakh.
The training program is planned to be conducted at the Tashkent branch of the National Research Nuclear University (MEPhI). Additionally, there are plans to send students to Russia for internships.
The Kurchatov Institute was established in 1943 and focuses on training personnel in the field of nuclear energy.
The institution is also engaged in scientific research in areas such as thermonuclear fusion, molecular physics, and other related fields. Read “Zamin” on Telegram!
