On January 13 of the current year, a tragic incident was recorded in the city of Fergana: a 9th-grade student, R.Y., died after falling from the roof of a multi-storey residential building. This was reported by the press secretary of the Prosecutor General’s Office, Hayot Shamsutdinov.
According to official information, the deceased student’s mother left for the Russian Federation on December 25, 2025, and the child remained under the care of his uncle together with his brothers and sisters. During the оператив investigation, it was established that prior to the incident the student had been exchanging SMS messages with a girl he liked.
An оператив-investigative group consisting of officers from the Fergana City Department of Internal Affairs and the прокуратура arrived at the scene. At present, pre-investigation checks are being carried out regarding the incident.
