The Central Bank of Uzbekistan has issued guidelines to banks allowing minors to make online payments. This information was published on the regulator’s official website.
According to the regulator’s press service, in the near future, citizens under the age of 18 will be able to use funds from their bank cards through banking apps or payment services. Previously, Uzbek internet users had reported issues with processing biometric data and linking apps when obtaining bank cards for minors.
The regulator noted that to prevent fraud involving bank cards, banks and payment services have implemented Face ID functionality for new user registrations, password recovery, and account logins from other devices.
