Poverty rate in Uzbekistan to be reduced to 4.5%
By the end of 2025, it is planned to reduce the poverty rate in Uzbekistan from 8.9% to 6%. A new target has been set for the coming year — to further decrease this figure to 4.5%.

This was announced during a meeting chaired by President Shavkat Mirziyoyev. Particular attention will be focused on low-income families: individual assistance programs tailored to the real needs of each family are planned to be developed.

As part of the project-based approach, initiatives such as "Equal Opportunities," "Towards a Sustainable Future," "20 Local Brands," promoting entrepreneurship in neighborhoods, modernizing orchards, and establishing export-oriented cooperatives will cover 1 million citizens.
