Barcelona are planning to sign Genk’s Belgian centre-back Yuvenlsi Onsteyn. According to insider Matteo Moretto, the parties are close to agreeing the transfer terms, and the 18-year-old player himself has accepted the Blaugrana’s offer. This is reported by euro-football.ru reports .
The Dutch talent currently plays for Genk’s second team and has not yet made his first-team debut. Nevertheless, the Catalan club believe in his potential and are working on a long-term plan to develop the player step by step.
Onsteyn has made 20 appearances in the Belgian second division for Jong Genk. Besides playing centrally, he can also operate at left-back. He previously trained at Ajax’s academy, while Transfermarkt values the player at €200,000.
