37 kg of opium found hidden in marble slabs in Samarkand
In the Samarkand region, law enforcement authorities have discovered and seized 37.4 kilograms of opium concealed within marble slabs. This was reported by the State Security Service.

An attempt to smuggle these substances into the republic was made by a foreign citizen. The operation was conducted as part of the "Safe and Healthy Country" initiative by officers of the State Security Service, in collaboration with the regional Department of Internal Affairs and customs authorities.

During the investigation, a foreign individual born in 1992, as well as three citizens of Uzbekistan residing in the Samarkand region, were detained.
