Peskov: Putin did not invite Zelenskyy to Moscow on an initiative basis

Russian presidential press secretary Dmitry Peskov stated that Vladimir Putin did not "invite" Ukrainian leader Volodymyr Zelenskyy anywhere on his own initiative.

Peskov emphasized that it was the Ukrainian side that raised the issue of the meeting. After that, Putin expressed his readiness for negotiations, but Moscow was indicated as the meeting place.

The Kremlin representative emphasized the importance of "remembering that Zelenskyy initiated the meeting."

At the same time, there is information in open sources that earlier Zelenskyy's side put forward options outside of Moscow, and Russia considers Moscow's position as a priority for negotiations.
