On December 25, the main symbol of the New Year spirit in Tashkent, the country's main Christmas tree, will be ceremonially unveiled. According to the Tashkent city administration, the festive event will be completely free of charge for residents and visitors of the city.
The opening ceremony will begin at 6:00 PM at the large square in front of the National Library of Uzbekistan. The main stage of the evening will feature performances by popular singer Munisa Rizayeva, rapper Konsta, and DJ Maccarella. Organizers emphasize that attendees can look forward to live music, modern entertainment, and a genuine New Year atmosphere.
The city administration has stated that a total of 33,000 various decorations and lighting elements were used to adorn the main tree. The tree was installed on December 20 and was prepared for the holiday in a short time.
The festive zone covers a total area of 1.3 hectares. In addition to the main tree, four smaller trees, each 6 meters tall, have been installed in the area. This setup transforms the space into a brighter, more attractive location, perfect for taking photos.
