In Karmana district of Navoi region, the night ended in tragedy for one family. As a result of carbon monoxide poisoning, a father and his son lost their lives.
According to reports, on December 18, due to cold weather, the family turned on a heating stove and went to sleep. The father, S.Ya., was in the kitchen with his son S.A., while the mother, M.Ya., was resting in the bedroom with their second child. However, carbon monoxide released from the stove’s chimney led to fatal consequences.
As a result, the father and son died at the scene. The mother and another child were taken to hospital with symptoms of poisoning. Doctors assess their condition as moderate.
According to the preliminary conclusion of the forensic medical examination, the deaths of the father and son were caused by acute carbon monoxide poisoning. Investigative actions are currently underway, and the necessary examinations have been appointed.
In short, a simple lack of caution has once again brought tragedy to a family. Specialists once again remind the public of the need to strictly follow safety rules when using heating devices.
