An important update has been announced regarding real estate activities and the process of selling state property in Uzbekistan. In accordance with the order of the Director of the State Assets Management Agency, a number of amendments and additions have been made to the national standard “Organization of sales of real estate objects and rights to them”.
These updates were developed in accordance with the resolution “On measures to accelerate the sale of property received on the balance sheet of banks due to debt” and serve to further expand transparency, competition and the use of electronic auctions in the sale of real estate.
The following are notable changes:
🔹 The organizer of the sale can now be the owner of the property, the owner of the property right or specialized organizations. Such organizations act on the basis of a contract and can participate in the sale on their behalf or on their own behalf.
🔹 The sale of real estate belonging to enterprises in which the state share in the authorized capital is 50% or more is now carried out only in the form of an electronic auction through the E-auksion platform. However, this property, without being sold at auction, can be sold directly at market price in order to repay the debt.
🔹 If the auction or competition was held in violation of the requirements of the law, interested parties have the right to apply to the court and declare it invalid. This will also lead to the termination of the contract concluded with the winner.
These rules came into force on June 10, 2025 and were officially published in the national database of legislative acts.
These innovations are intended to make the process of selling state property more open and efficient. In particular, the aim is to reduce the risk of corruption and create equal opportunities for ordinary entrepreneurs by selling through electronic auctions. Read 'Zamin' on Telegram!
