Uzbek Citizens Will Be Able to Travel to Jordan Visa-Free Starting September

As a result of an important diplomatic agreement between Uzbekistan and Jordan, starting from September 25, citizens of our country will be able to travel to Jordan without the need for a visa.

Accordingly, in the city of Samarkand on August 26, an intergovernmental agreement was reached, under which the leaders of Uzbekistan and Jordan signed an official agreement to cancel visas. According to Burkhanov, this agreement comes into force after 30 days — that is, from September 25. Now, citizens of Uzbekistan can stay in Jordan visa-free for up to 30 days.

In addition, the parties signed a number of important documents to expand cooperation in tourism and aviation. In particular, it is planned to establish regular flights between Tashkent and Amman.

As of August 1, 2025, citizens of Uzbekistan still need to obtain a visa on arrival to enter Jordan. Jordanian citizens can also obtain an electronic entry visa (e-visa.gov.uz) or, in a simplified procedure, a tourist visa through Uzbekistan's consular institutions.

In February, the Minister of Foreign Affairs of Uzbekistan, Bakhtiyor Saidov, during his visit to Jordan, met with the Deputy Prime Minister of the country and the Minister of Foreign Affairs and Expatriate Affairs, Ayman Safadi, and reached an intergovernmental agreement on visa-free entry for holders of diplomatic passports. This also became another clear example of friendly relations between the two countries.
