President Shavkat Mirziyoyev visited the Center of Islamic Civilization and inspected the latest finishing and equipping works.
The project was launched in accordance with the decree of the head of state dated June 23, 2017, and its foundation was laid on the day of Ramadan Hayit 2018. Today, the construction work is in its final stage.
The majestic structure is being built in the form of ancient architectural monuments. On all four sides of the complex are arches 34 meters high, and in the center is a 65-meter dome.
In the main part of the center is the Quran hall. The ancient Uthman Quran will be housed here. Also, copies of the Holy Book, written during the Samanid, Karakhanid, Khorezmshah, Uzbek Khan, Timurid, and other historical dynasties, and their translations into the old Uzbek language will be displayed. Examples of the world's rarest manuscript Qurans will also be included.

The President reviewed the final finishing works in this hall and gave his recommendations to the responsible officials.
A 460-seat conference hall has also been built in the center. Conditions have been created here for holding various international meetings and conferences.
"Uzbekistan has a great history. The scientific and cultural heritage created by our great ancestors has left an indelible mark on human history. I am confident that this center will play an invaluable role in informing the world community about them," said Shavkat Mirziyoyev.

The complex will include sections such as "Pre-Islamic Civilizations," "First Renaissance," "Second Renaissance," "Uzbekistan in the 20th Century," and "New Uzbekistan - New Renaissance." The history of these periods is presented through various artifacts, manuscript sources, photographs, and multimedia tools. Information is provided on the multifaceted activities of such scholars and thinkers as Khorezmi, Fergani, Farabi, Beruni, Ibn Sina, Burhaniddin Marginani, Mahmud Zamakhshari, Mirzo Ulugbek, Alisher Navoi, Babur Mirzo, Ali Kushchi. The contribution of scholars such as Imam Bukhari, Imam Termizi, Hakim Termizi, Abu Mansur Moturidi, Abu Muin Nasafi, Qaffol Shoshi, Abdulkhaliq Gijduvani, Najmiddin Kubro, Bahauddin Naqshband, and Khoja Ahror Vali to Islamic enlightenment is comprehensively covered.
At the same time, the complex reflects the activities of such famous women as Bibikhanim, Khonzodabegim, Gavharshodbegim, Gulbadanbegim, Nodirabegim, Uvaysi, Anbar Otin, who left a deep mark on our history.

The need for in-depth study of the heritage of our great ancestors and its transformation into a life-giving force capable of responding to the pressing problems of today was emphasized. For this purpose, cooperation will be established with the International Academy of Islamic Studies of Uzbekistan, international scientific and educational organizations named after Imam Bukhari, Imam Termizi, Imam Moturidi, and others, and appropriate scientific answers to modern threats will be found.
Shavkat Mirziyoyev highly appreciated the constructive work carried out at the center, gave instructions on the proper organization of its activities and the enrichment of its content.

"Much work has been done here for 8 years. We have built such a majestic and meaningful center. "Guests who come here admire the rich history of our people, the knowledge and thinking of our ancestors, and gain great spiritual strength," the president said.
The Head of State also familiarized himself with the construction of trade and service facilities on the territory adjacent to the center. This will allow for the development of tourism in the future.
