Temperatures of up to 40 degrees Celsius are expected in Uzbekistan at the end of August

In the coming days, Uzbekistan will face rising temperatures. According to Uzhydromet, from August 18 to 21, heat will intensify across the regions, with strong winds and dust storms expected in some areas.

In Karakalpakstan and Khorezm, the sky will be partly cloudy with no rainfall. Winds will blow from the east at 7–12 m/s. Night temperatures will be between 15–20°C, while daytime will reach 30–35°C on August 18–19 and rise to 33–38°C on August 20–21.

In Bukhara and Navoi regions, the weather will mostly be clear. However, on August 18, winds may strengthen up to 13–18 m/s in certain areas, causing dusty conditions. Night temperatures will be 15–22°C, daytime — 30–39°C.

In Tashkent, Syrdarya, Jizzakh, and Samarkand, strong winds and dust storms are also possible on August 18, though no rain is expected. Night temperatures will be 15–20°C, daytime — 30–37°C.

In Kashkadarya and Surkhandarya, the heat will be even stronger. Daytime temperatures will be 32–37°C on August 18 and may rise to nearly 40°C in the following days. Winds could intensify with dust in some places.

In Andijan, Namangan, and Fergana, sunny and clear weather is forecast. Nighttime will be 15–20°C, daytime — 27–37°C.

In mountainous and foothill areas, short rain showers and thunderstorms are possible on August 18, but the following days will be clear without precipitation. Night temperatures will be 12–17°C, daytime — 18–26°C.

Experts warn that by the end of August, heat will become even more intense in parts of the country, reaching up to 40°C. Residents are advised to be cautious, drink plenty of water, and rest in the shade during hot hours.
