In Uzbekistan, it has been clarified when the new 2025/2026 academic year will begin. According to the relevant order of the Minister of Higher Education, Science and Innovation, the official start dates of classes in higher education institutions and academic lyceums of the country have been approved.
According to the information, classes for all students of academic lyceums, as well as for first-year students of universities and institutes, will begin on September 3, 2025. At the same time, for second-year and higher-level students of higher education institutions, classes are scheduled to start on September 8.
Education officials emphasized that special programs have been prepared for students entering the first year. In particular, the “Introduction to the Credit Education System” week and the “Dedication to Student Life” events will be organized. These programs are aimed at familiarizing young people with university life, as well as developing their independent study and research skills.
During the week, students will be given detailed explanations about the content, advantages, and opportunities of the credit-module system. In addition, recommendations will be provided on the proper and purposeful selection of elective courses. Students will also receive important information about academic integrity principles, as well as matters of professional and personal development.
