At today's meeting, President Shavkat Mirziyoyev spoke about the preparation of young people for the future. As the head of state emphasized, the new generation must not only keep pace with the times but also be prepared for the demands of tomorrow.
- We must raise our children not only as people adapted to the times, but also as people ready for the future. We must not forget that the future belongs to young people who possess modern knowledge and new professions," the President said.
According to the data, 30-35 billion dollars of investments are attracted to the country's economy annually. Thanks to these funds, thousands of enterprises are being launched, as a result of which about 250-300 thousand high-paying jobs are being created. These opportunities are new jobs, primarily for young people. However, to work in these places, they must master modern technologies, know foreign languages, and have the necessary skills.
2026 has been declared the "Year of Training Youth in Modern Professions." In this direction, the Agency for Vocational Education is being created. The main task of the Agency will be to create an environment that meets international standards and introduce new programs in 598 technical schools.
Within a year, 100 technical schools will cooperate with leading educational institutions of Germany, Switzerland, China, Korea, and Great Britain, implementing their most advanced programs. Any young person with professional skills will be able to take an exam through the foreign qualification assessment system and receive an international certificate.
Starting this academic year, the international program "BITEK" has been implemented in 14 technical schools in cooperation with the English company "Pearson." Based on this program, young people will master in-demand professions in such areas as tourism, medicine, information technology, construction, energy, logistics, mechanical engineering, biotechnology, and the creative economy.
Next year, it is planned to implement 456 large industrial projects worth 45 billion dollars. A dual education system will be introduced based on the "investor - network - technical school" chain. Also, a competition will be held for the creation of modern workshops in cooperation with enterprises, and the winners will be provided with modern equipment.
The plan to increase the coverage of dual education by five times was also noted. At the same time, to stimulate businesses, preferential loans of up to 5 billion soums will be allocated, and the single social payment for students working through dual education will be halved.
Another important aspect is the special attention paid to foreign languages. The number of foreign language classes in technical schools will be increased fourfold. This will allow young people to master new technologies and freely communicate with foreign investors.
Next year, a new digital platform will be launched. Through this system, all information about the qualifications and skills of technical school graduates will be accessible not only to local but also to foreign employers.
Thus, in the country, opportunities for young people to prepare for the future and acquire new professions are expanding.
