Employees of the State Security Service and the Customs Committee jointly conducted an urgent operation in Khojaobod district of Andijan region. Near the “Do‘stlik” border customs post, T.T., born in 1994 and residing in Fergana region, was stopped, and his household bag was inspected in the presence of witnesses.
When the three metal-covered car parts were disassembled, it was found that they contained a total of 7 kg 784 g of gold bars.
According to the appraisal, the total value of these gold bars is 12 billion 465 million 795 thousand soums. It was reported that T.T. planned to deliver the gold sent from Tashkent to a person in Kyrgyzstan, hiding it from customs control.
Currently, necessary legal measures are being taken, and the investigation is ongoing.
