It was revealed that the head of a tourist company in Samarkand gained the trust of several citizens and promised to take them to the USA through Mexico.
It turned out that he demanded $32,000 each from three residents of Samarkand and Urgut districts. He intends to receive a total of 96 thousand US dollars.
During a joint operational measure by the State Security Service and the Department for Combating Economic Crimes, the head of the firm was detained while receiving $15,000 in advance.
Currently, a criminal case has been initiated against him under Article 25, Part 4, Clause "a" of Article 168 of the Criminal Code. The investigation is ongoing.
