Journalists: Two of Messi’s Ballon d’Ors undeserved

The publication FourFourTwo presented a list of the greatest injustices in the history of the Ballon d’Or.

First place went to former Bayern striker, now Barcelona player Robert Lewandowski. According to experts, in 2021 the award should have gone to him, not to Argentine Lionel Messi.

In second place was legendary French striker of Arsenal, Thierry Henry. Journalists believe that it was the French forward who deserved the Ballon d’Or more in 2003. However, at that time the award was given to Czech midfielder Pavel Nedvěd.

Third place was taken by former Netherlands national team and Inter Milan midfielder Wesley Sneijder. According to the analysis, he was more deserving of the Ballon d’Or in 2010 than Lionel Messi.
