The President of Uzbekistan, Shavkat Mirziyoyev, has approved the agreement between Uzbekistan and Italy on mutual protection of investments. This was reported by the Ministry of Justice.

The document was signed on May 29 in the city of Samarkand and entered into force on October 31. The agreement is aimed at creating favorable conditions for investors and protecting their rights.

The Ministry of Industry and Trade has been designated as the responsible authority to ensure the implementation of the agreement.
