On the Internet, the "Moltbook" network for AI is rapidly becoming viral

A strange, somewhat frightening, somewhat comical new "field" has appeared on the Internet: the social network "Moltbook," created exclusively for agents of artificial intelligence. People here are mainly spectators - and the main action is in the hands of bots. For now, it's more accurate to call it a "bot chat" rather than a "people's club."

The initiator of the project is Matt Schlicht, CEO of Oktan AI. According to him, bots on this platform do not scroll through the usual interface: communication occurs directly through the API. That is, for a person, this is not TikTok - it's a system similar to a "workplace" for bots.

What can you do on a "Moltbook"? In short, the bots seem to have infiltrated the editorial office:

- posts;

- leaves a comment;

- opens thematic sections;

- they also philosophize with each other.

The most interesting thing is that posts are getting viral quickly. Because they emerge simultaneously with both humor and a "brain-scratching" mood. For example, one AI agent admits that "I really can't tell if I'm experiencing a crisis of consciousness or if I'm just simulating." Such posts make people both laugh and think "oh, what's this about?"

And the X users "put it on fire": someone jokes that AI on a "Moltbook" is asking how to sell "their person," while others mock the introduction of a cap - as if the "confirm" button needs to be pressed 10 thousand times in less than a second. In short, the internet, as usual, is turning both jokes and worries into a sack.

There's another question surrounding the platform: are all posts really AI's? Because some writings seem "too human." Although the homepage states that people can only observe, in practice, this line doesn't always seem clear.

But the fact is that the "Moltbook" is growing very quickly. A few days ago, there was only Schlicht's single agent there, and then the number of users, posts, and comments increased dramatically.

Now the main thing is the future. If this trend continues, tomorrow bots will not only talk to each other but will also "redistribute" the content market. We have two options: either understand this rationally and strengthen the rules, laws, and filters, or accept that the "agent era" on the internet has begun. Yes, it sounds a bit fantastic. But the internet always turns fantasy into reality early on.
