Uzbekistan will introduce a 30-day visa-free regime for US citizens starting from the beginning of next year. This was reported by the "O‘zA" information agency based on a decree by President Shavkat Mirziyoyev.
The purpose of this new development is to enhance trade, cultural, humanitarian relations, and tourism between the two countries. Additionally, since 2021, US citizens over the age of 55 have been able to visit Uzbekistan for tourism purposes without a visa for 30 days.
According to data from the National Statistics Committee, in the first nine months of this year, 19,200 Americans visited Uzbekistan, which is 20.6 percent more than last year. Of these, 13,300 indicated travel, 1,800 work, and 1,500 visiting relatives as the purpose of their visit.
