
According to a decree signed by President Shavkat Mirziyoyev, the Tashkent metropolitan network is planned to be expanded to 103 kilometers by 2030. This was reported by the Ministry of Justice.
Additionally, by that time, the level of public transportation usage among the population is expected to increase by 60%. The average speed of buses is anticipated to rise from 18 kilometers per hour to 24 kilometers per hour.
As reported earlier, the metro line from the "Do'stlik" station to New Tashkent will span a length of 21 kilometers, featuring nine stations. This route will have the capacity to serve up to 230,000 passengers per day.
Moreover, the Chilonzor line will also undergo expansion. This line will include both aboveground and underground sections.
