Uzbekistan's President Shavkat Mirziyoyev announced during a meeting with representatives of the agricultural sector that 50 agrodrones would be imported from China next year. At least two mobile drone complexes will be established in each region to provide services to farmers.
Additionally, the payload capacity of the drones will be increased from 100 kilograms to 250 kilograms, the president said. "It delights me to see our farmers and clusters increasing in number, introducing digital technologies and artificial intelligence in their operations, and achieving high productivity," the president stated.
According to Shavkat Mirziyoyev, hundreds of drones have been used in Uzbekistan to monitor land plots and crops. The president also highlighted the establishment of a drone center under the Ministry of Agriculture.
According to the DK News portal, China's DJI company has delivered more than 200,000 agrodrones internationally by November 2025. These drones are used for irrigation and plant protection, as well as in livestock and aquaculture.
