Coal boilers to be relocated from Tashkent

Koʻmir qozonlari Toshkentdan koʻchiriladi

In Uzbekistan, the use of coal boilers operating without filters will be discontinued, and they will be relocated outside Tashkent. President Shavkat Mirziyoyev announced this in his address to the Oliy Majlis. According to the head of state, about 2,000 greenhouses in Tashkent and Tashkent region are currently heated using coal and gas. To support modernization of this system, agro-clusters covering at least 200 hectares will be established. Greenhouses included in agro-clusters will be able to receive separate subsidies. The President also emphasized environmental protection, rational use of water resources, and the development of green energy. Large enterprises will be able to use a $100 million credit line to monitor atmospheric emissions and install filters and treatment facilities.
