Uzbekistan upgraded 787 km of power transmission lines in 2025

In Uzbekistan, 787 kilometers of main power transmission lines underwent major overhaul throughout 2025. The Ministry of Energy reported this in its year-end results. This was reported by kursiv.uzreports.
According to the report, 29.5 thousand kilometers of distribution power networks were repaired nationwide. In addition, 9 transformers at main substations and 10.2 thousand transformer points were restored.
As part of modernization and reconstruction, another 8.6 thousand kilometers of power transmission lines, 2.3 thousand transformer points, and 28 substations were upgraded. As a result, the quality of electricity supply improved in more than 800 thousand households.
Against the backdrop of infrastructure upgrades, the volume of electricity delivered to consumers increased by 14% over the year, reaching 77.1 billion kWh.
In 2025, the country also expanded its “green” energy segment: small solar installations with a total capacity of 2 GW were commissioned. Electricity savings amounted to 2.7 billion kWh.
