Roma claim confident away win over Lecce

The Serie A Round 19 match between Lecce and Roma was not played at a high tempo, and there were not many chances throughout the game. This was reported by euro-football.ru reports .
The scoring was opened in the 14th minute: Bryan Cristante found Paulo Dybala near the penalty area, and he then played the ball to Evan Ferguson. Ferguson finished the move with a precise shot into the left corner to put the visitors ahead — 0:1. Late in the first half, Zeki Celik delivered a cross from the left flank; after a ricochet, Ferguson struck from close range, but the goalkeeper cleared the danger with his foot.
In the second half, Lecce had a chance: Konan N’Dri sent a low cross from the right, but Santiago Pierotti in the middle of the box failed to take advantage of a good opportunity. Roma also increased the pressure — in a long attack, after a pass from Wesley França, Dybala hit a first-time shot, but the ball went over the bar. In the 71st minute, in the second phase after a corner, Niccolò Pisilli’s low ball from the right was finished first time by Artem Dovbyk to make it — 0:2.
After this win, Roma moved closer to the top three with 36 points, while leaders Inter are only three points ahead. Lecce remain in the lower part of the table, sitting fifth from bottom.
