Gasperini becomes the third coach to reach 1,000 points in Serie A

Roma head coach Gian Piero Gasperini achieved a rare milestone in Serie A. The Rome club beat Lecce 2–0 in Matchday 19 of the Italian championship. Evan Ferguson and Artem Dovbyk found the net. This was reported by euro-football.ru reports .

According to Opta, Gasperini became only the third coach to reach the 1,000-point mark in Serie A in the era when a win is worth three points. Previously, Massimiliano Allegri (1,050) and Luciano Spalletti (1,014) achieved this figure, and they currently coach Milan and Juventus respectively.

As a reminder, Gian Piero Gasperini took charge of Roma last summer. The coach is best known for his many successful years at Atalanta.
