Uzbekistan presents spiritual development strategy through 2030

Uzbekistan has developed a strategic plan for spiritual-educational and cultural development through 2030. The document aims to strengthen national values, protect society from ideological threats, and modernize cultural infrastructure. This was reported in detail by podrobno.uz. reports .

Expanding reading culture is defined as a separate priority in the strategy. Under the plan, the number of young people who actively read books will be increased to 5 million, and 40 million books from library collections will be digitized to support this goal. The launch of multi-volume series such as “Treasures of Uzbek Literature” and “Masterpieces of World Children’s Literature” is also envisaged.

To boost the country’s creative potential, it is planned to produce at least 100 significant works of fiction and 50 children’s fiction books every year. Scientific and sociological research will serve as a foundation for these efforts, helping track changes in the socio-spiritual environment and provide systematic support for national values.

To ensure the socio-spiritual stability of society, cooperation between the family, school, and the state is cited as a core principle. Plans include transforming educational institutions into modern cultural centers, introducing interactive approaches in upbringing, and strengthening mechanisms to protect youth from external ideological influences.

On the infrastructure front, the theater sector will undergo major modernization: by 2030, 40 existing theaters will be reconstructed and 6 new buildings will be built, including two new puppet theaters. By upgrading the material and technical base and creating high-quality stage productions, the goal is to raise annual theater attendance to 5 million and bring Uzbek stage and circus arts to a new level internationally.
