Bayern Munich sporting director Christoph Freund commented on the latest discussions surrounding team player Lennart Karl. The 17-year-old midfielder had previously said he would like to move to Real Madrid in the future. This was reported by euro-football.ru reports .
According to Freund, Karl simply acted like himself: he doesn’t hide his emotions and speaks openly both on and off the pitch. “He behaved like a typical 17-year-old and quickly realized those weren’t the best words,” the club official said.
“The next day he apologized, and we talked it through. Karl explained to me that he meant it differently. He feels very comfortable at Bayern and is genuinely enjoying every moment of being here,” Freund added.
This season, 17-year-old Karl has made 22 appearances, scoring 6 goals and providing 2 assists. 21 of those matches were for the first team.
