Starting from 2026, companies developing satellite communication technologies in Uzbekistan will be granted tax privileges. Uzbekistan President Shavkat Mirziyoyev signed a decree on the development of satellite communication technologies in order to improve the quality of communications and internet in the country’s remote regions.
According to this document, from January 1, 2026, companies that are introducing satellite communication systems in medium and low orbits will be exempt from customs duties, VAT and profit tax for five years. In addition, legal conditions will be created for the introduction of satellite networks and provision of internet services in areas of the country that are not covered by ground networks.
