The Zaporizhzhia region, one of Europe's frontier regions, experienced another difficult night. On the night of January 29, a drone attack by Russia hit the private sector in the city of Volnyansk: houses were destroyed, fires broke out. Unfortunately, two women and one man died, another man was injured, and he is receiving medical attention.
The Ukrainian Air Force also warned about the increased danger in this direction and reported the use of guided aerial bombs (GUB) in the direction of Zaporizhzhia. This indicates that the types of attacks and the scale of the threat are expanding.
28 january morning strike: multi-story building courtyard targeted
The alarming news in this area wasn't limited to just one night. It was reported that the attack on the courtyard of a multi-story building in the city of Zaporizhzhia took place on the morning of January 28. According to preliminary data, more than a hundred apartments and at least 20 cars were damaged. The number of victims was updated: in the morning it was said that there were 4, later some sources reported an increase to 6.
Explosion sounds in Khmelnytskyi Oblast
Against the backdrop of the drone threat, concerns have also intensified in the western part of the country: local correspondents reported that on the morning of January 29, explosions were heard during air alert in the Khmelnytskyi region, possibly due to the operation of the air defense system.
On such evenings, the most important rule is not to put yourself at risk by saying "everything will pass." Following official warnings, staying in shelters, keeping in touch with loved ones - this is a simple, but strict, life-saving rule. Dawn will come anyway; the task is to bring everyone to this dawn safe and sound.
