Deputies of the Legislative Chamber of the Oliy Majlis approved the draft law on the ratification of the agreement on the junction point of the state borders of Uzbekistan, Kyrgyzstan and Tajikistan. The document was sent to the Senate.
This agreement was signed on March 31, 2025, in the city of Khujand during a meeting of the leaders of the three countries. In this document, the exact point where the state borders of Uzbekistan, Kyrgyzstan and Tajikistan converge is defined, and the border line in this area is also described.
According to the deputies, the adoption of this agreement will serve to strengthen good neighborly relations, mutual trust, and the development of strategic partnership between the three countries. In addition, the document will provide a legal basis for activating contacts among residents of border regions, the development of trade, the implementation of joint infrastructure projects, and the creation of new jobs.
